SC adjourns contempt case hearing as Awan produces medical certificate
SC says Awan will be given more time if his health condition does not become better.
ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court of Pakistan adjourned the hearing of a contempt of court case against former law minister Babar Awan after he submitted his medical certificate in the court, Express News reported on Friday.
As the court’s proceedings initiated, Awan informed the court that he was not feeling well and that he had to go for a medical checkup. The court decided to resume the hearing after Awan’s return.
On his arrival in the court, Awan submitted a medical certificate and prayed before the court that the hearing be adjourned.
The court adjourned the hearing till Wednesday and announced that Awan will be given more time if his health condition does not become better.
