Formula one: Raikonnen dismisses title talk
“I am not thinking about the championship at the moment,” said Raikonnen.
SILVERSTONE:
Kimi Raikkonen brushed aside all thoughts of a title challenge for Lotus this year and said he is taking each race as it comes. Speaking on the eve of the opening practice for this weekend’s British Grand Prix, the Finn said he felt Lotus were now on course to be challenging for the front row in qualifying and could fight for victory.
“I am not thinking about the championship at the moment,” said Raikonnen.
“I would rather treat it race by race and do as well as we can. There is still an awful long way to go and we will see closer to the end of the season where we are. We are still not in the best possible position but we are not too bad.” Raikonnen is yet to register a win this season.
