Encroachments: CDA told to submit report on signboards
court passed the directions to the civic agency while hearing a public interest petition
ISLAMABAD:
The CDA was asked by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday to submit a report on the “embarrassing” signboards strewn across the city. The court passed the directions to the civic agency while hearing a public interest petition filed by Barrister Jehangir Khan Jadoon last month. The petition seeks to remove encroachments from the city, which cause trouble to the residents. CDA Enforcement Director Ramzan Joya informed the court that the civic agency had initiated an anti-encroachment drive in sectors F-11, G-11, G-10 and G-9 following a previous hearing.
