Parking fee dispute: Six police officials held for manhandling three brothers

Fatehjang Police station registered a case against six police officials and four employees of toll tax contractors.

The Fatehjang Police have arrested 10 persons including six police officials following the registration of a case of allegedly manhandling three brothers and seriously injured them.


Police on Wednesday said that on the order of district police officer (DPO), the Fatehjang Police station registered a case against six police officials and four employees of toll tax contractors.

On Monday, Safdar Hashmi, a resident of Fatehjang lodged a complaint before the DPO Hilal Khan claiming that he and his family members were parked in his brother’s rickshaw at a local bus stand when four employees of the local general bus stand’s fee contractor had scuffled with them.

Later, they attacked the family with weapons on a dispute of parking fee.

Upon which, he and his brothers including the richshaw driver Shahid Hashmi and Ajmal Hashmi went to the police station to file a complaint against the attackers.

But some officials attacked them on the behest of their rivals due to already good understanding with the influential contractor and later dragged into the police post, where they manhandled them brutally, causing serious injuries to all of them.

The DPO suspended the police in and ordered for registration of a criminal case against the all accused people including six police officials.

Meanwhile medical legal examination of the injured brother was carried out of the at the district headquarters hospital.
