Immunity?: ‘You cannot issue notices to industries’
EPD, Social Security Dept, Labour Dept restrained from doing so.

The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) president, Muzammil Sultan, said on Wednesday that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has restrained the Environment Protection Department, the Social Security Department and Labour Department from issuing notices to the industries.
However, he said committees would soon be constituted in consultation with the concerned chamber of commerce and industry officials to inspect the industries.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the FCCI chief said that the chief minister had ordered a report on stopping the functioning of the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) and other conciliation committees at police stations level.
Sultan appreciated the proposal for establishment of 50 megawatt power plants, saying it would help in mitigating the problems of industrial sector.
The the FCCI president appreciated the chief minister for expressing solidarity with the people protesting against the ‘discriminatory’ electricity loadshedding.
He said the traders facing any problems should meet the chief minister at his tent office.
He said the chief minister would soon send a coal study to the energy secretary, who will later brief the chief minister about coal reserves in the Punjab.
Sultan said the chief minister was also committed to launching biogas tube well and solar power projects in the province soon so that energy crises could be overcome as early as possible.
