Motorway: Land purchase initiated for two sections of M-4

Alamgir said construction work on Faisalabad-Gojra and Multan Khanewal sections is in progress.

The ministry of communications has initiated the process of land acquisition for two sections of M-4, the Faisalabad-Multan motorway, Communications Minister Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan said on Tuesday.


Briefing Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on development projects of his ministry, Arbab Alamgir said construction work on Faisalabad-Gojra and Multan Khanewal sections is in progress.

According to the media office of the ministry, this project will cost Rs24 billion and will be completed within four years interlinking the many major cities and commercial hubs through a network of motorways.

Alamgir said the National Highway Authority has completed 49 projects all over the country during the last four years at a cost Rs83.4 billion.
