Corruption: TMA engineer held on extortion charge
Sub-engineer is claimed to have demanded the amount from the contractor to clear his outstanding bills.

A sub-engineer of Tehsil Municipal Administration Fateh Jang was arrested on extortion charges on Tuesday. Sub-engineer Zahoor Ahmad was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Department Circle Officer Attock Shoukat Gillani and Magistrate Muhammad Ashraf Gondal while receiving Rs30,000 allegedly as extorted money from a contractor, Abid Rafique. The sub-engineer is claimed to have demanded the amount from the contractor to clear his outstanding bills. The police registered a case against the sub-engineer and registered a case against him.
