Conspiracy killings: Baloch being targeted in Karachi, says Bizenjo
The NP leader laid the blame of the killings and the security situation of Karachi on the coalition government.

Senator Hasil Khan Bizenjo, the National Party’s (NP) vice president, has termed the murder of party activist Muhammad Yaqoob Baloch a part of targeted killings of Baloch in Karachi.
An employee of the Karachi Electric Supply Company, Yaqoob was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Monday in Nazimabad while he was on duty. He was also the chief organiser of the NP.
“The Baloch people are being targeted in different parts of the city,” said Bizenjo, while speaking to the press on Tuesday. “We can’t ignore his killing and the party considers it as the killing of all Baloch of Karachi. It is a conspiracy to kick out Baloch from Karachi.”
The NP leader laid the blame of the killings and the security situation of Karachi on the coalition government. “The Baloch are with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Urdu-speaking people with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. It is a political war but common citizens from both sides are being killed,” he said.
“It is the responsibility of the state to provide protection to its citizens,” Bizenjo said. “Several areas of the city have become ‘no-go areas’ for the Baloch.” The NP leader alleged that the PPP has been in power for five times but has failed to resolve the issues of the Baloch people.
