Football: Suarez going nowhere, says Rodgers
The striker had said last season that he is keen to sign a new deal
Liverpool’s new manager Brendan Rodgers has held talks with Luis Suarez and is confident he will stay at the Merseyside club, according to ESPN. The striker had said last season that he is keen to sign a new deal, but has since then been linked with a number of clubs, including Italian champions Juventus. Rodgers is aware of the speculation but is confident the Uruguayan will stay. “I’ve had a brilliant chat with Luis,” said Rodgers. “He’s really looking forward to being here and we are obviously hoping that we can get him to sign a new contract. He’s really looking forward to the new season.”
