Zong launches ‘Shadi Portal’ to help people find their perfect match

Telecom company Zong, in an effort to outdo all Pakistani matrimonial websites, has launched a “Shadi Portal” to help people find their perfect match using just their mobile phones, ProPakistani has reported.

The portal allows interested people to dial ‘654’ and record their profile in 30 seconds. The profile, after being screened for recording quality and offensive/obscene language, is made live after 24 hours.

Customers can only listen to other recorded profiles after recording their own, to select the one they are interested in. The selected profile will receive a text message and if interested, will have to call back to the same number to initiate a phone conversation.

Only the person receiving the message can initiate the call.

This service is misused by 99 percent of the population! we are Pakistanis..

Haroon | 12 years ago | Reply The question is 'will this really resolve the matrimonial issue that currently exists in the society?' Or will it further that issue? I think its the latter. One, you are paying for the service. Two, you do not know the other person just over the phone. Its like stepping into a dark street. You do not whats on the other.
