Zong launches ‘Shadi Portal’ to help people find their perfect match
The portal allows interested people to dial ‘654’ and record their profile in 30 seconds. The profile, after being screened for recording quality and offensive/obscene language, is made live after 24 hours.
Customers can only listen to other recorded profiles after recording their own, to select the one they are interested in. The selected profile will receive a text message and if interested, will have to call back to the same number to initiate a phone conversation.
Only the person receiving the message can initiate the call.

This service is misused by 99 percent of the population! we are Pakistanis..
The whole purpose of this service was to give people who are interested in finding partners an option. Going all reclusive doesn't help. If people are Misusing mobile phones you cannot blame the cellular companies. Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children. They should teach and enforce certain boundaries. Our social fabric is being destroyed by the lack of education and limited exposure our people face. Not technology.

Around Europe and America there are Parental Controls for Children under 18 and in Pakistan children as young as 5 are using Mobile phones with no Locking mechanisms at all. What is a guarantee that this Blind Date type thing will not be used by Teen under 18 years of Age?. No matter how much liberal i would be I would not allow my 15 year old Sister who have a mobile phone to go for such service. I think Zong should refrain from Such Services and Government should intervene and for all the people under 18 only when parents will allow this then this service should be used. Already night packages are creating havoc in many lives along with Facebook and I have seen atleast 10 break ups of Marriages within my circle of friends because of anti trust and this service will be addendum to that. My friend is a Lawyer and his agency is handling 20 divorce cases per week and there are tons in Lahore so this simply allure us to the fact that Our Social Fabric is being destroyed day by day and such services are responsible for this mess as well.
