Pillar of support: AJK president invites Pakistani businessmen for investment
People of Kashmir need Pakistan’s help for boosting its economy, struggle for freedom.

The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Yaqoob, said that the people of Kashmir still need the help and support of Pakistani government and their struggle for freedom will continue till they become independent.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir still have the same views of independence that their ancestors had in 1947,” he said at a press conference at the press club on Monday. He said that the people of Kashmir were peaceful and they will continue their struggle without using any type of weapons.
He said that Pakistan’s business community has invested in other countries while the investors here complain of worsening law and order and power breakdowns. “Come and invest in Kashmir,” he invited them. “Kashmir is your country. Invest in different sectors, including tourism.”
Yaqoob said that the people of Kashmir will not accept any decision about their country’s future which was made without consulting the country’s leadership.
While replying to a question about the ongoing talks between Pakistan and India, Yaqoob said that the people of Kashmir hoped that negotiations will be fruitful. “Any issue can be resolved by dialogue,” he said. “Both the countries still consider Kashmir as a core issue.”
Yaqoob evaded the question when he was asked whether the Pakistani government had briefed the Kashmiri leadership before holding talks with India. “Let them talk first.”
Talking about AJK, Yaqoob said that his country possessed the capacity for producing hydroelectricity in abundance which can help in overcoming the Pakistani power crisis in four years.
