Eagle FC put in a resilient performance defeating Frontier College FC 1-0 in the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Inter-Club Women’s Championship being played in Islamabad. Nazia Hussain was the standout performer scoring the winner in the fifth minute of the match.
Eagle FC won their second match of the Islamabad leg of the tournament. They defeated Soccer Queens FC 3-0 in their previous match. Rising Star CFC, Eagle FC and Sargodha University FC top the table with three points each among six other teams in the region. The top two teams will qualify for the second round of the tournament that will start in September.
