Two houses in the Racecourse area were robbed in separate incidents on Friday night. Muhammad Rizwan Khan, a resident of Afshan Colony, told the police that two armed robbers entered his house and took away Rs22,000, nearly 150 grams of gold ornaments, cell phones and other valuables. In another incident, Adnan Mehmoob lodged a complaint that four armed robbers entered his house in his presence and held his family hostage. They searched the entire house and took away Rs25,000, gold ornaments weighing 100 grams, mobile phones and three digital cameras, he added. The police have registered separate cases and started searching for the robbers.
