Bloodbath of violence continues in Karachi

The latest incidents of target killings have claimed the lives of five people, including a DSP and the son of a religious scholar.


Unknown gunmen gunned down Mirza Khadim Hussain as he was walking home late Monday night in Nazimabad.


He was the son of Maulana Yousaf Hussain, a leader of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.



The religious group has announced a mourning of three days.


In another incident on Monday evening, gunmen opened fire at DSP Preedy Nawaz Ranjhat at MA Jinnah Road. The official and his driver died on the spot.


Ranjhat had investigated the October 18, 2007 Karsaz bomb attacks on Benazir Bhutto's procession.


In Korangi town, unknown gunmen opened fire at the car of Dr. Najam ul Hassan, who died on the spot.
