Quicker justice: IG tells police officers to hold open courts

IG directed police officers to deal politely with people and redress their grievances as a top priority.

Police officers of Rawalpindi range were directed on Thursday to hold open courts in police stations and at the district level, said a press release. Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police Haji Habibur Rehman directed police officers to deal politely with people and redress their grievances as a top priority.  Police College Sihala ccommandant said they imparted junior command course, advance command course and upper class training courses but the college was facing a shortage of resources and instructors. Rehman promised to take steps regarding provision of necessary development funds for the college, as promised by the government.
