Clueless: Over 3,500 absconders roam free
Faisalabad district police had been given a target to arrest 2,168 court absconders
FAISALABAD:
Over 3,500 court absconders in Faisalabad division have yet to be traced, a police spokesman said.
He said that out of these, 170 were Category-A suspects and 3,530 were Category-B suspects. He said that this meant a number of cases remain pending in local courts.
He said that Faisalabad district police had been given a target to arrest 2,168 court absconders, Jhang police to arrest 337, Toba Tek Singh police to arrest 611 and Chiniot police to arrest 583. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Aftab Ahmad Cheema had directed the police officers concerned to arrest court absconders urgently but no progress was reported.
