KARACHI: The provincial minister of special education, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, announced on Thursday that the visually challenged students, Shahid Ansari and Ameenat Afsar, will be appointed as Grade-17 teachers in his department.

Ansari and Asfar had bagged first and second positions, respectively, in the Master’s programme for Urdu at University of Karachi last year.

“Despite a disability, both the students have set an example of courage by achieving something substantial in their lives,” Shaikh said.
