Football: Diya advance in inter-club event

Diya FC qualified for the second round of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Inter-Club Women Championship after defeating The City School FC 7-0 in Karachi. Kiran Ali scored a hat-trick and Afshan Altaf scored two goals for Diya FC, while Rukhsar Rashid and Hajra Khan scored a goal apiece. The victorious Karachi team have progressed unbeaten. Meanwhile, in the last match in Bahawalpur, Young Islamia FC played out a goal-less draw with Sports Sciences FC. The second round of the tournament will take place in September.
