Forman Christian College: New rector to be appointed on June 30
Dr Armacost, who had served for nine years, said he had tried to provide world class education at “Pakistani prices”.
LAHORE:
Dr James Tebbe, the Forman Christian College (FCC) rector designate, will take charge in the first week of July. Dr Tebbe will accompany Dr Armacost, the FCC rector, at the convocation on June 30. Rehearsals for the 10th convocation were held on Thursday. As many as 388 students will be conferred first degrees and 40 post-graduate degrees. Dr Armacost, who had served for nine years, said he had tried to provide world class education at “Pakistani prices”. “We trust our graduates will become leaders of tomorrow,” he said, hoping that they would help Pakistan achieve its full potential. FCC was awarded the status of a chartered university in 2004. Traditionally, the college administration invites the highest achieving student of the graduating batch to give the valedictory speech at the commencement ceremony. This year Muhammad Adeel, who has graduated with the highest CGPA, has been invited to do the honours.
