Child injured in Karachi police station attack

Unknown assailants had surrounded the police station.

KARACHI: Unknown assailants attacked a police station in Karachi’s Chakiwara area Thursday night, firing a rocket and hurling four hand grenades, Express News reported.

The assailants had surrounded the station, firing at it from all sides.

Police officials said that a passerby child had been shot in the head and was severely injured.

Four to five explosions had been heard in the area.

During the day, six people, including a woman, had been killed in different acts of violence in the city.

A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker was shot dead in Ranchor Line, after which sporadic firing in the area forced shops to close business for the day.

Two bodies of a man and a woman, were found in the bushes near a mausoleum in Surjani Town.
