FAISALABAD:

Pakistan is losing the international market for fruits, vegetables and other agriculture products because of injudicious and excessive use of insecticides while ignoring good agricultural practices, says a senior academic.

University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad, while addressing a conference organised by the Department of Agri-Entomology on Tuesday, stressed the need for applying the integrated pest management technique, saying it was the only way to implement the plant protection mechanism keeping in view international agronomic practices. He underlined the need for collaboration to promote plant protection and boost exports.
