PPP considers handing over Sindh Home ministry to MQM

Names of Raza Haroon and Syed Sardar Ahmed have surfaced for the Sindh home minister portfolio, sources said.

In a recent development for Sindh, it has been disclosed that deliberations are being held for handing over the province’s Home Ministry to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Express News reported on Tuesday.

Names of Raza Haroon and Syed Sardar Ahmed have surfaced for the Sindh home minister portfolio, sources said.


Earlier, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan was removed from his office for ‘reasons other than political’. He, however, refused to accept another portfolio in the provincial cabinet.

Presently, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah holds the post until a suitable replacement can be found.
