KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court ordered the issuance of notices to the SSP Naushehro Feroz and Mithiyani SHO among other respondents on Monday.
The court had converted an application filed by its employee into a petition. Gul Hasan had submitted that his nephew, Gul Aziz, was kidnapped on June 19 by nine armed men while he was sitting near a tube well along with the complainant and other residents of the Muhammad Yousuf Mastoid village.
The applicant claimed that the alleged kidnappers have an old dispute with some relatives of the abducted man. Nominating five people of the Khuhawar clan, he requested the court to direct the town police to recover Aziz. He added that the police had taken no action since June 19. On Monday, acting Sindh High Court chief justice, Justice Maqbool Baqar, summoned the respondents on June 28.
