Cricket: England retain victorious side
England named an unchanged squad for their five-match ODI series against Australia.
LONDON:
England named an unchanged squad for their five-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia that starts at Lord’s on Friday. The selectors retained the original 14 players that featured in England’s 2-0 win over the West Indies at home recently. “The series-win against the West Indies was pleasing and we are making steady progress with a sixth straight series victory on home soil,” said the England national selector Geoff Miller. “Playing against the number one ranked ODI side in the world is an excellent test for us as we look to keep improving ahead of next summer’s ICC Champions Trophy and the 2015 World Cup.” England also won the one-off Twenty20 by seven wickets and also won the three-match Test series 2-0.
