GNIEWINO:
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque expressed shock and sadness at news of the death of former Liverpool defender Miki Roque, who succumbed to cancer. “We were surprised at the news and we are all shocked and saddened,” said del Bosque “We wish to send an enormous hug to the boy’s family and loved ones.” Roque, who was just 23, spent four years at Anfield, moving to Spain with Real Betis in 2009, but was diagnosed with pelvic cancer in March last year. “Miki’s death is an injustice of life. Puyol always talked highly of him saying he was a fantastic person,” said Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas.
