Anniversary: Indian Sikh pilgrims gather at Punja Sahib
To participate in the 173rd anniversary of Raja Ranjeet Singh.

As many as 400 Indian Sikh pilgrims have arrived at Gurdwara Siri Punja Sahib, Hassanabdal, to participate in the 173rd anniversary of Raja Ranjeet Singh. While talking to The Express Tribune here on Sunday, Deputy Administrator Shrines Syed Faraz Abbas accompanying the pilgrims, said that the pilgrims had set out for the anniversary with the ritual Akhand Paat and will be concluding the ceremony with the Bhog ritual on June 26.
He added that all the visiting Indian Sikh pilgrims have been provided with boarding, messing, health and security cover facilities. The party leader of Sikh pilgrims, which include former MLA Indar Itwal Singh, deputy party leader Sardar Baldev Singh, Sardar Santok Singh and Sardar Balber Singh. The pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for them by the government of Pakistan. They also lauded the efforts of Pakistan Evacuee Trust Board Chairman Asif Hashmi for maintaining the gurdwaras.
