Rugby: LSE clinch gold at Lahore Sports Fiesta

LSE won the gold medal at the Lahore School Sports Fiesta, beating GCU 30-0 in the final of the rugby tournament. LSE capped off a fine performance with a comprehensive victory to clinch their first tournament. The LSE ‘B’ team earlier beat USA 40-0 to finish third. LSE captain Faizan Rahman was named player of the tournament and Qasim Butt was the top try scorer with 6 tries. Meanwhile, Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) President Fawzi Khawaja promised support to the universities’ rugby program and said another tournament will be held soon.
