I don’t like bragging: Irrfan Khan
Actor Irrfan Khan doesn’t like to talk about himself too much.

He is one of the few Indian actors with international projects like Slumdog Millionaire and The Amazing Spider-Man to his credit, but actor Irrfan Khan doesn’t believe in blowing his own trumpet and lets his work speak.
The Amazing Spider-Man, in which he plays Dr Ratha, is set to release in India on June 29, but Irrfan has hardly spoken about it.
Asked why, he said: “I don’t brag about it because I don’t like bragging. I hate bragging. I don’t enjoy bragging. Sometimes people have an attitude that bragging brings something to them, but I don’t want to achieve anything from bragging. I don’t like that.”
At a press conference on Thursday, ahead of the movie’s release, Irrfan said “I definitely do publicity for a film where I feel it is necessary, where I am excited about it, where I feel they need me... I go and do it. But I would like to be in a situation, where I don’t have to do publicity for a film and people understand there is something special about it themselves. The audiences are not fools, they can smell films.”
Some of Irrfan’s earlier international projects have included A Mighty Heart and The Darjeeling Limited and American HBO show “In Treatment”.
The actor, who won praises galore for his work in Hindi biopic Paan Singh Tomar about an athlete-turned-dacoit, has already cautioned the fans that his role in The Amazing Spider-Man is a short one.
“I don’t have a lengthy role in this film. I did it because it was an experience for me. In Hollywood, they call it as a pivotal role because it moves the story in some way, but I don’t think it’s a very big role. For me, my presence is enough and I enjoyed it,” said the 45-year-old.
