False Alarm: Kidnap hoax spreads panic at city courts
As no offence was made out, no case was registered and the entire drama subsided in about 30 minutes.

A false alarm over an alleged attempt to kidnap an under-trial suspect panicked people at the city courts on Saturday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said that a group of people was moving towards the exit of the city courts complex, when one of them shouted that he was being kidnapped by his rivals.
The lawyers from both sides, who were accompanying the party, entered into a verbal brawl, but were later separated. The matter was brought into the knowledge of the City Courts police. The police found no truth in the allegations of the suspect, Asif Lodhi, neither were any weapons found with the alleged kidnappers.

The suspect, Lodhi, is accused of arson, looting and causing damage at a factory along with his co-workers after they had a dispute over their wages with the contractor in the factory, Rafique Shah, who is the case complainant. Lodhi was booked under sections 147, 148, 337-A, 380 and 506-B of Pakistan Penal Code, in which he has been granted a pre-arrest bail.
