The Federal Bureau of Revenue has released the latest direct and indirect tax collection figures for the last 9 months of the current fiscal year.
The FBR reports a collection of Rs 338bn in direct taxes so far in the fiscal year 2010. It also says direct tax collection so far is 10% higher compared to the same period in the last fiscal year.
The state's revenue collection department says a total of Rs 567bn have been collected in the form of indirect taxes till March 2010.
It also reported a 12% increase in indirect taxes collected so far this fiscal year, compared to the first nine months of fiscal year 2009.
