RAWALPINDI:

Punjab Council of the Arts organised a family stage drama titled "Dukhtar-e-Kashmir" on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. The play strongly highlighted the emotional and humanitarian aspects of the ongoing cruelty against Kashmiris and the continued silence of the United Nations.

The drama symbolically presented the papers and resolutions of the United Nations, reflecting how no meaningful action has been taken despite decades passing. The powerful performance deeply moved the audience, who appreciated the play and praised its impactful concept.

The chief guest of the event, Mashal Malik, wife of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik highly appreciated the play, its message and the efforts of the team. She expressed her deepest gratitude to the people of Pakistan for their emotional support and solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

The play was written by Muhammad Aslam Mughal and directed by Dr. Shaheen Kazmi. The cast included Khawaja Saleem, Shehzad Puppu, Seema Jutt, Arshad Khan and other artists who delivered a remarkable performance. Costumes for the drama were designed by Farzana Kousar, while hairstyling was done by Muhammad Idrees and makeup was handled by Nosheen Akhtar. The stage was organised by Adnan Badar.

The Punjab Council of the Arts reaffirmed its commitment to promoting awareness through cultural and artistic activities and to continue organising meaningful programs in solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
