Two suspected target killers arrested in Karachi
Suspect arrested from Gulistan-e-Johar confesses to killing more than 50 people.
KARACHI:
Karachi police arrested two target killers from Gulistan-e-Johar and Quaidabad areas on Saturday, reported Express News.
Police said that suspect, Shuja Hashmi, arrested from Gulistan-e-Johar has confessed to being involved in more than 50 incidents of target killings. Police further claimed that Hashmir belongs to a political party. Weapons were recovered from his possession.
Another suspect, accused of killing at least 19 people, was arrested from the Quaidabad area.
According to SP Police Zahid Hussain Shah, the accused, Jahanzeb alias Fauji, was arrested from the Star Ground in Quaidabad when he was waiting for his accomplices. A Kalashnikov was recovered from his possession.
The police claimed that the suspect has confessed to killing 19 people in Orangi Town, Mehmoodabad, Sherpao Colony, Aziz Bhatti, Kokharapar and Shah Faisal Colony. He also confessed to the media of carrying killings on the instructions of Hamid Piya.
Police has initiated a search operation to arrest his accomplices.
