Gilani's constituency: Abdul Qadir to contest NA-151 Multan by-polls
Earlier, there were speculations that Fiza Gilani was going to contest for the same seat.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) announced on Saturday that Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, will contest by-elections for his father's seat NA-151 Multan, Express News reported.
Earlier, it was reported that Fiza Gilani, daughter of Yousaf Raza Gilani, might contest the by-elections.
The NA-151 seat was left vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified Gilani from the post of prime minister. He is ineligible to contest elections for five years.
Malik Ishaq Bucha is expected to contest for the seat from Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).
Earlier, a petition was filed against Abdul Qadir Gilani claiming fraud worth Rs380,000, alleging that he offered the petitioner a senior position in the Sui Norther Gas Pipeline Limited in return for Rs400,000.
