Bahria Town cases: Asma says lawyers should return fee

Says bans such as on her entry to Rawalpindi Bar Association couldn’t stop her from visiting any bar in the country.

LAHORE:
The Supreme Court Bar Association’s former president, Asma Jahangir, said on Thursday that lawyers who disassociated themselves from pleading Bahria Town cases should also return the fee they got from Malik Riaz.  Speaking to the media at the Lahore High Court, she said, “I appreciate the step, but the lawyers who refused to further plead the  cases should show courage by paying back the fee.” Speaking on a ban on her entry to the Rawalpindi Bar Association, she said such bans couldn’t stop her from visiting any bar in the country.
