Compensation: PPP worker’s family gets Rs2 million
The Bahria Town project’s head, Malik Riaz, deposited Rs2 million in Ansari’s bank account for the use of his family.
HYDERABAD:
The family of a deceased Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker, who burnt himself to protest against not being paid his monthly salary of Rs5,000, will now be drawing Rs24,000 per month. The Bahria Town project’s head, Malik Riaz, deposited Rs2 million in Ansari’s bank account for the use of his family. Ansari set himself on fire in Badin on the International Labour Day, celebrated on May 1. He had succumbed to his wounds a week later in the burns ward of Karachi’s Civil hospital. Sindh government has already given jobs to the widow and a brother of Ansari.
