Art magazine: SHO to record obscenity complaint
Petition seeking the registration of case against NCA principal for publishing ‘objectionable’ material in Sohbet.
LAHORE:
Additional District and Sessions Judge Sajjad Ahmed on Wednesday directed the Old Anarkali SHO to record the version of the petitioner and proceed in accordance with law on a petition seeking the registration of case against 14 respondents, including the National College of Arts principal for publishing ‘objectionable’ material in an art magazine, Sohbet. The judge then disposed of the petition. Petitioner Abid Ali advocate had filed a petition through advocate Mumtaz Ahmed Mangat submitting that the respondents had attempted to promote homosexuality and mocked religious values by publishing ‘objectionable’ materials in the magazine.
