Future plans: ‘PPP will create a new province’
The two leaders lauded the contribution of former PM Gilani for redressing centuries old grievances of the region.

Pakistan Peoples Party South Punjab Coordinator Abu Bakar Awan and former Central Executive Committee member Safdar Abbas Khakhi on Wednesday said the work on development projects must be expedited funds allocated by federal and Punjab governments. They also called for maintaining transparency in the execution of ongoing projects. The two leaders lauded the contribution of former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for redressing centuries old grievances of the region. They asserted that the incumbent PPP government would create a new province in the region in accordance with people’s wishes. They said the so-called movement for restoring the old status of Bahawalpur state was an attempt to obstruct the formation of a Seraiki province.
