Missing from Attock: SHO given six days to submit report
Muhammad Imtiaz was allegedly picked up by secret agencies with the help of the local police, says his father.
RAWALPINDI:
A Station House Officer (SHO) was given until June 25 by the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench on Tuesday to submit his report on a missing person.
Muhammad Imtiaz, a resident of Jand in Attock, was allegedly picked up by secret agencies with the help of the local police, said his father, Muhammad Ejaz, in his petition.
Ejaz cited Rawalpindi RPO, Attock DPO, Basal DSP, Basal SHO and an ASI as respondents in his petition.
Ejaz told the court that he and his son went to Basal Police Station after they were summoned by the SHO. ASI Najab Khan noted down their details and let them leave.
“As we were leaving, a group of men, some of whom were in uniform of the elite force of Punjab Police, arrived in two vehicles.
“We were blindfolded and taken to a place where we were separated. I was dropped near Kamra station after four days,” Ejaz said.
Ejaz added that the SHO told him Imtiaz was in safe hands and would be let go in a few days. The petitioner informed the court he had no information of his son for the past 18 days.
