Bugti case: Jam Yousuf executes bail bond

KARACHI:

Former chief minister of Balochistan, Jam Muhammad Yousuf, a nominated accused in murder case of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti along with former president Pervez Musharraf and others, on Tuesday executed a bail bond before Nazir of the Sindh High Court in respect of his pre-arrest bail earlier granted to him by a division bench of the court.

He signed the bail bond worth Rs0.5 million to the satisfaction of the court official.

Later in a brief talk with the media, Jam Muhammad Yousuf, said that neither the federal nor the provincial government was responsible for the death of the Baloch leader.

He denied any nexus with the killing of Nawab Bugti who was killed in hills of Balochistan in an air and ground attack by law enforcement agencies.

“Rather the situation was such in those days that circumstances could be held as a major factor behind the death of Nawaz Akbar Khan Bugti,” he said leaving every one confused.

When told that as chief minister, he should have been aware of the operation against the slain Baloch leader, he replied “In Pakistan even a prime minister does not know what is happening at his back.”
