Woes of DHA residents

Loadshedding is not the only problem faced by DHA residents as the area also lacks other basic infrastructure.

ISLAMABAD:
The residents of the Defence Housing Authority, Phase II, Islamabad, have been seriously affected by loadshedding that lasts between 15 to 17 hours daily. The authorities concerned are least bothered by the misery of the residents of the area. Life in DHA, Islamabad has come to a standstill. On its website, DHA claims that there is “no loadshedding” in the area as it has its own “power grid”, which is a falsehood because the area gets its power supply from the RAWAAT grid.

Loadshedding is not the only problem faced by DHA residents as the area also lacks other basic infrastructure. The residents do not have access to internet, mobile phone signals in the locality are very weak, there are very few parks and markets, there is unplanned construction of mosques and pathetic security. I urge the chairman of DHA, Islamabad to look into this decline of Phase II and to take remedial measures.
