Lahore Development Authority staff demolished a road in the Pak Arab Housing Scheme on Ferozepur Road on Monday because it was built in a space reserved for a graveyard in the layout plan approved by the authority, said a press release. Staff excavated the passage that had been illegally provided by this scheme to Vital Homes, a society that had been established without approval from the LDA. The LDA has also filed an application with the police seeking an FIR against the private housing society. The LDA urged prospective buyers to check the legal status of a scheme before investing in a plot in a private housing society.
