Robbery: Telecom franchise looted
The men looted Rs150,000 cash from the franchise and fled.

A cell-phone company’s franchise was looted by a group of armed men on Monday afternoon. Quoting the owner of Telenor cellular company’s franchise, Hasnain Younas, the police said that the men came on three motorbikes and ambushed the dealership, where a number of clients were present. The men looted Rs150,000 cash from the franchise and fled. According to District Police Officer Abdul Karim Khan and Superintendent of Police Investigation Mian Raza, who reviewed the CCTV footage of the crime, the robbers’ long beards and clothing was similar to that of the Talibans. Senior House Officer Qamar Hayat said that the men were new faces in the area and assured that they will be apprehended shortly.
