Malik Riaz appeals to SC for security
Riaz stated in his application that some lawyers had threatened him during the previous hearings of the Arsalan Iftikhar case in the apex court, which is a threat to his life and his fame.
He added that the media is also running a campaign against him, and further appealed that the SC registrar and the law enforcement agencies should be directed to provide him security during the future hearings.
A suo motu was taken against Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Riaz, following media reports that Iftikhar had received between Rs300 and Rs400 million from Riaz to influence judicial proceedings.

I think Malik Riaz is asking security from prosecution. As for physical security, he is one providing to others. Or is he afraid of "Don Arsalan"?
Why peoples money should be spent on the security of a self proclaimed offender. Where are his own Platoon of lethally armed guards.
He is very proud of having 21000/=employees out of which more than fifty percent are security personnel to defend land grabbed by him. Riaz should deploy some of those to double up his security or create some more jobs by hiring retired Fauji for which he holds a special expertise.
Not a cent of peoples money should be spent on self proclaimed scoundrels. These guys have deep pockets and they must dig into them. There are no alms for them.

I am surprised at the hostile comments and sarcastic remarks about his demand for security and claims of threats to his life. One should not be surprised if he says that. Even the devil must get his due. And this man, however, bad he may be, is not devil incarnate. He seems to be playing in the hands of people who are yet behind the scenes, true. But the Supreme Court only has to pass an order; the rest would have to be done by the government. So what's the harm if the SC does that? The SC’s stature would go up, not down, by such an order!~
A man who has ex-generals and other top ranked security personnel in his payroll, is asking for protection from civilians !!

Hey.Malik Riaz can buy anything. With his billions hard earned money I am sure he can buy much better security for himself than Supreme Court. Now why Tycoon Malik Riaz want to spend tax payer money. Is this another way to make money by not spending it?
if in America he would be a hero , in pakistans CORUPT media and courts he is maligned supreme court will take action against lawyers if mr riyaz can prove anyone of them belonging to PPP

Lawyers threatening the accused for physical harm, what a pity to see this degradation. Are these really lawyers, one wonders, there's such a blatant contradiction here, afterall they claim allegiance to a most honourable and one of the oldest profession since the dawn of the civilization. This is a profession whose business to protect and defend and fight for the rights of accused, regardless who it is and not chase them away from seeking justice.
He is seeking attention. He had more gaurds than any high profile personality as mentioned in the print media during his last appearance in SC. This is a political move, no more than that. He is one of the elite rotten fish.
This guy already enjoys government provided security (2 Islamabad police mobiles, i.e. at least a dozen personnel) in addition to his own Bahria Town guards. What else does he wants?
