Cylinder blast: 3 killed, 5 injured in Islamabad
SSP Islamabad says a cylinder blew up in a house near Burma Bridge.
ISLAMABAD:
At least three people were killed and five sustained injuries in a gas explosion in a house near Burma Bridge in Islamabad, reported Express News on Monday.
Rescue officials reached the site and started shifting the injured to nearby hospitals.
SSP Islamabad confirmed that a cylinder blew up in a house near Burma Bridge as a result of which, the roof collapsed, burying the residents inside.
Rescue officials have been trying to evacuate more people possibly buried under the debris of the single-storey house. Sniffer dogs have also been brought to the site to assist the rescue operation.
