DERA ISMAIL KHAN:
Fighter jets pounded militant hideouts in Ladha sub-division of South Waziristan, killing at least seven militants, officials said on Sunday. “The hideouts were located in the Mishta village of Badar area in Ladha sub-division,” a security official said “there were seven militants that were killed and their hideouts were destroyed.” The area is inhabited by Mehsud tribesmen and is considered to be a Taliban stronghold prior to a military offensive that was launched back in 2009. The claims could not be independently verified.
