Archaeological site discovered in Khyber Agency

Archaeological artifacts have been discovered in the Shekhan area of Bara district, Khyber Agency, reported Express News.
After finding some artifacts belonging to the Buddhist Civilisation, the digging was initiated in the area.
The archeological artifacts were discovered during the construction of a mosque.
The people of the area claim that the Department of Archaeology has given them a contract worth Rs20o,000 which will be used for the reconstruction of the mosque.
Akbar Khan, a resident of the Shekhan area, says, "There is still some terrain here that contains archeological sites."
