Price Cut: MQM for more subsidies on fuel

MQM says need of the hour is to give more subsidies on petroleum products.

KARACHI:

Welcoming the government’s decision of reducing the prices of petroleum products, including Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) members of the National Assembly, urged the government to take more measures for providing relief to poor people.

They said that the need of the hour was to give more subsidies on petroleum products.

In a statement issued on Friday, the MNAs said that any increase in the prices of petroleum products, CNG and LPG and tariffs of natural gas and electricity has a direct impact on public.

The MQM had always been demanding that the prices of these essentials must be decreased considerably by giving more subsidies on petroleum products.
