Inflation: Index up 0.64% during week
SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 177.12 points
ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the week ended June 14 has registered an increase of 0.64% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 177.12 points against 175.99 points registered in the previous week, according provisional figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for combined groups was up by 0.72%; up from 187.19 points in the previous week to 188.54 points this week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for combined groups inflated 12.25%. During the week under review, average prices of indexed items changed as follows: 10 items registered a decrease, 18 items increased and the remaining 25 items’ prices remained unchanged.
