Two injured in Quaidabad grenade attack

Two injured in a grenade attack on a gambling den, media persons attacked as they tried covering the incident.

KARACHI: Two persons were injured in a hand grenade attack at a gambling den in the Quaidabad area of Karachi. Media persons were also attacked as they tried to cover the incident, Express News reported on Thursday.

Unidentified motorcyclists threw a hand grenade at a Quaidabad gambling den. Abdul Aziz and Faqir Mohammad, were injured in the incident and were admitted to Civil Hospital.

However, Station House Officer (SHO) Quaidabad Police Station Nasir Mashwani, claimed the injuries were due to aerial firing at a wedding ceremony.

According to the sources, the gambling den was purposely targeted, where allegedly drugs are also supplied.

Cameramen and media persons were attacked as they tried to cover the incident.
